The SwingSearch team is 30+ experienced recruiters and start-up veterans who have founded, scaled, and exited companies at every stage. We also have an incredible research organization that plays a heavy supporting role in each search. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader with passion driving growth within startup tech. You will be running a full-desk with your deep agency background while managing/building a team and joining the roundtable for overall growth strategy for your team/division as well as SwingSearch overall. You have the spirit and drive to build the next big recruiting firm for startup leadership and the network to get the job done.
What you will do
Recruiting function:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and partner with business leaders, managers, talent partners and other key stakeholders to drive recruiting strategy within the various functions within SwingSearch Executive Search GTM division, Start-up Leadership division as well as Talent Build division.
- Create and communicate the recruiting strategy across internal and external teams
- Utilize data to develop and analyze key the health of search to understand and improve recruiting effectiveness
- Partner with internal sourcing teams and partners to develop new ways to attract and find passive talent
- Develop, coach and mentor clients through the entire recruiting process
- Provide a consistent and positive experience for candidates and clients alike
- Potential to Build and Manage a team of Recruiters and mentor, guide their development and ability to not only hit their goals, but achieve beyond baseline goals (revenue, professional growth) for retention and growth opportunities for their future.
- Be stakeholder on your searches, as well as team (subject to being appointed to stakeholder level outside of team)
Leadership/Supervisory functions:
- Lead by example to help drive internal culture and external brand, holding yourself to an extremely high standard internally and externally (Examples: leading training/meetings internally)
- Develop, manage and mentor Recruiters and Research teammates
- Evaluate and drive constant improvement by identifying, and implementing projects in order to increase business-wide recruiting effectiveness and efficiency
- Be a part of the leadership team providing sound leadership that ensures the delivery of business’ operational standards in recruitment activities, additionally approves recommendations for streamlining the recruiting processes from internal hiring, onboarding, training of junior analysts.
- Oversee the compliance of all internal operations and external concerning the recruitment processes and lifecycles
- Constantly evaluate your personal and team workload in order to guarantee optimal recruitment activity and client (search) success and execute on team’s growth as your book of business demands it
Strategy/Tactics:
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies that will guarantee that the business attracts and hires the top most talent in the business
- Lead the strategic direction of the department and examine hiring trends in anticipation of the business’s response to labor market changes, for example, shortages and surpluses of available labor
- Endeavor to develop strategies and processes that utilize both traditional and modern/current/innovative sources in order to cover all possible talent pools available to the business
Collaboration:
- Work with Finance, BD/Partnerships, Marketing, Research, Operations and Executive Leaders/Founders assisting them in understanding current and future workforce planning requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients and understand their business needs and act as a trusted advisor.
- Coach, manage, and develop team(s), actively supporting their professional growth, taking on the role of their mentor, and guaranteeing the successful onboarding of all new hires
Analytics:
- Lead analytical role where you leverage key dashboard tracking analytics and impact metrics in order to grow a data-driven and technically skilled recruiting team
- Introduce alternative suggestions/strategies, for example, technologies, workflow, processes and procedures
- Staying abreast of industry trends, competitor landscape, and talent market dynamics to inform search strategies
- Evaluate recruiting strategies/tactics and processes in order to continually improve recruiting processes and hence the quality of talent brought into the business
- Create standardized reporting systems that will regularly lead to the identification of solutions and improvement areas for recruiting programs
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience and/or applicable experience
- At least 3 years of stakeholder management experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Executive search sourcing, strong networking skills, candidate research, and cold-calling experience
- Strong problem solving by proactively driving results and being solution-oriented. Upleveling by efficiently going to the responsible party.
- Ability to manage relationships, provide strong customer service skills and lead a team
- Demonstrated confidence when advising/partnering with client at the Executive level
- Proven organization skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands
- Experience Executive/Leadership search for Go-to-Market (Sales, Marketing and G&A), Growth, Product, and Customer Success disciplines and Managing recruiters focussed on all levels of search from team (IC) to Executive
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, public administration or liberal arts. MBA a plus.
