Giving Back: Gala Night with Rise Alliance for Children

October 2024

Another incredible evening—and another $500,000 raised—for Rise Alliance for Children at this year’s annual gala in New York City. SwingSearch was proud to once again support this remarkable organization, joined this year by an even  broader circle of our clients, VC partners, and friends who showed up and gave generously.

Formerly known as Worldwide Orphans, Rise has grown into a global force for good. In the past year alone, the organization expanded its play-based trauma intervention programs into both Palestine and Israel, while continuing its work in Ukraine. Their curriculum, which helps children heal from adversity through connection and play, also remains active in Haiti, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Bulgaria, and the Bronx.

One of the most moving moments of the evening came when Maya Samadani, representing Palestine, and Susan Neisloss, representing Israel, took the stage together. In a shared address, they spoke about unity, compassion, and the power of coming together for children—no matter the conflict or geography.

Swing was especially proud to widen our table this year, extending invitations to our VC network and partners who believe, as we do, in building a better world. Their presence and generosity helped make this year’s event one of the most impactful yet.

Special thanks to our teammates and friends who made the night one to remember: Mandy Edmund, Jennifer Loftus, Sonia Steinway, Ross Scheuerman, Debbie Wissel, Kristina Yang, Ann Nguyen, Annie Wenzel, Danielle Galvan, Ginny Miller, Corey Beasley, Carina Chary, Valerie Jackson, Matt Minoff, Wilson Kriegel, Stephen Blum, Logan LaHive, Misha Rubin, and many more.

We are deeply honored to stand beside Rise Alliance for Children in its mission—and grateful to those who stand with us.
