Jennifer started SwingSearch when she became a new mom and realized that the traditional recruiting career path was not friendly for parents who also wanted thriving careers. She set out to create a talent company with heart and one that better served the venture-backed community as the ‘00 tech bubble settled and a new wave of startups began to grow.
In 2003, Jennifer pioneered a new model for startup recruiting, now often referred to as the “container model”, with the belief that contingent and executive search firms were not meeting the needs of young, high-growth companies looking for startup leadership. She wanted to build a team and a service that provided the utmost care and attention to each search, regardless of the level of role. With that, Swing was the first search firm to offer both contained and retained search services for the wide range of startup needs, from senior individual contributors, “Heads of” to more seasoned executives.
Jennifer’s mission remains true today as she scales Swing as a high-service, authentic company that serves the up-and-coming companies of the future.

In her spare time she and her family rescue, rehab and rehome dozens of dogs each year. When she retires, her goal is to serve her community each and every day – both two legged and four legged!
