Debbie has held leadership roles at some of NYC’s most prominent fintech startups, where she had a front-row seat to the highs and lows of startup growth.
Debbie was driven to consumer-focused fintech with the mission to help people better understand their money. This mission inspired her through product leadership positions at four start-ups; Innovest, an ESG-focused investment start-up (acquired by MSCI), LearnVest, affordable financial planning (acquired by Northwestern Mutual), PayPerks, an edtech platform focused on the underserved, and Ellevest, a modern financial service company focused on women. At each company, Debbie had the chance to build a recruiting practice and interview panel from scratch to grow both her teams and the company at large. Her interest soon shifted from financial services to team cohesion and creating environments that bring out peoples’ best work.
In 2019, Debbie took her love of team-building and career coaching to SwingSearch, joining the team to build out our VC partnerships and make sure the company was addressing Founders’ most pressing talent needs. In March 2022, Debbie stepped into the role of President.
Debbie is a graduate of The American School in Japan. She received her B.A. from Bowdoin College and her MBA from The Wharton School.
