Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Head of People who will be responsible for a range of human resources activities including performance management, headcount planning, employee development and workforce operation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills to assess our organizational needs. You will act as a champion for company culture and support team leaders, allowing the company to develop and grow quickly.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and implement tools and practices that provide both quantitative and qualitative insight to the employee experience.
Identify organizational gaps and opportunities to help establish goals with Swing’s leadership team.
Implement and manage processes to track, communicate and measure growth towards stated goals.
Guide the company to effective decision making on all people related issues, inclusive of employee relations, performance management, organizational design
Collaborate with our leadership team to plan and execute retention plans, career development, learning and development and compensation planning
Work closely with the leadership team on training initiatives for recruiters, researchers and people managers.
Manage all aspects of the employer brand including LinkedIn, website, and social media
Lead our culture, value building and team engagement efforts
Develop a clear career progression model for all employees, ensuring we are developing new leaders that are ready for the next levels.
Develop programs designed to elevate employee engagement with outcomes tied to increased productivity, personal development, and recognition for contributions to the company’s success.
Champion a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace
Manage our external human resources partners (including payroll, retirement programs, and Rippling) and ensure SwingSearch is compliant with all labor-related regulations. Facilitate annual programs such as employee engagement surveys, and open enrollment.
Participate in coaching, counseling and advising management and staff to ensure resolution of employment related matters.
Prepare and analyze HR metrics and provide reports that support decision making in specified areas.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements, advise management on needed actions to remain compliant.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in strategic people roles, ideally within a technical industry, startups or staffing firms.
Exceptional people management and facilitation skills; outstanding communication skills and ability to connect with individuals across all levels of the organization
Expertise and experience in benefits management and administration; experience and knowledge in human resource policies, procedures and compliance
Experience assessing the tools and systems that will allow our company to scale with our needs
Demonstrated ability to prepare, equip and support individuals to successfully adopt change in order to drive organizational success and outcomes
Familiar with aligning the structure of an organization with its objectives, with the ultimate aim of improving efficiency and effectiveness
Comfortable leading efforts around high growth, planning and talent mapping
Proven expertise in building company cultures in remote environments
